Joint research calls

The SKEP network has run three research calls, with a fourth call in development.

The first two calls were ‘pilot’ initiatives to test and refine the legal and financial framework for a trans-national research platform, as well as to fund research to promote environmental protection activities.

Following the pilot calls, the third main joint call was launched in 2009 and has established the SKEP network as an international research platform to serve the needs of environmental regulators.

Further information about SKEP research calls:

  • Joint call one: sustainable consumption and production (closed September 2007)
  • Joint call two: improving science into policy processes (closed April 2008)
  • Joint call three: impacts of converging technologies (closed July 2009)
  • Joint call four: better regulation (in development - due to open late 2010 / early 2011)
